The Supreme Court announced that it will not televise the oral arguments in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act cases on March 26 to 28, but will release audio recordings and transcripts.
Because of the extraordinary public interest in those cases, the Court will provide the audio recordings and transcripts of the oral arguments on an expedited basis through the Court's Website, the official release said.
Broadcasts of the morning sessions should be available by 2 p.m. on the day of the sessions, and broadcasts of the afternoon sessions should be available by 4 p.m. Anyone interested in the proceedings can access the recordings and transcripts directly from the Supreme Court's website.
This decision does not come as a surprise as the court has denied past requests to have cases televised.
