Marie Campos joined the ANCOR team in June 2015 as the Education and Foundation Director. Ms. Campos is responsible for assessing the educational and training needs of ANCOR’s members; conceptualizing and managing ANCOR’s educational offerings, such as the annual conference and audio and web-based events; and ensuring alignment with ANCOR’s mission, vision and strategic goals. As the Foundation Director, she served as liaison to the ANCOR Foundation Board of Directors, staff, and external partners to ensure coordination on successful program execution. In October 2018, she transitioned fully to Education Director to expand and enhance educational programming across ANCOR.
Ms. Campos came to ANCOR with over 13 years of professional experience in project management across federal government consulting and non-profit sectors. As an Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton, she provided management consulting services for various federal government clients for eight years. In the non-profit sector, she worked at the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) for five years, managing the internship, leadership awards, and mentoring programs for people with disabilities. In these roles, she developed project management protocols and tools; developed and implemented new business processes and related standard operating procedures; analyzed proposed solutions to enable future-state operating capabilities in alignment with strategic goals; conducted stakeholder impact assessments; facilitated client working groups, developed briefing materials, and obtained buy-in from senior leadership; and monitored and reported on project execution and budget performance. Ms. Campos is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP). She obtained her M.A. in International Development Studies from The George Washington University and B.A. in Political Science from the University of Hawaii at Hilo.
